THE WAY OF EMPTINESS

Our first response to the Blessed Are The... Writing Prompts comes in the form of a poem Vicky Allen wrote for a previous event centred around the Beatitudes. But it is well worth including here.

Of herself, Vicky says -

"By day I work as a communications consultant for a Scottish children’s charity, walk my beloved beagle, parent my awesome children, and am co-conspirator in life’s adventures with my husband. Amidst all this we are involved in a small and creative church plant in East Lothian. Writing has threaded its way through all of this, and poetry has become a particularly significant form of expression, and a treasured way of keeping company with God."
