If you are going to celebrate winning an award as an independent bookshop, you might as well celebrate with customers and cake!

Gillian Cairnie, of Ritchie's Christian Bookshop, is seen here showing the shop's latest award to Julie McLaughlan and Amelia Barrie.

Ritchie's, of 40 Beansburn, Kilmarnock, won the Independent Large Retail Store of the Year category in a competition run by Christian Resources Together and sponsored by Instant Apostle.

The shop is well worth a visit and, may I say, the cakes were delicious!
