Eleanor's Journey by Fran Brady

Five women consider themselves staunch friends,

a friendship forged over many years,

shoulder to shoulder at demonstrations and political protests

such as the Women’s Peace Camp at Greenham Common.

But they have never been in each other’s homes.

Eleanor is terminally ill when she sets off on a tour

to visit the other four women.

At the same time, unknown to Eleanor,

her daughter is getting into a disastrous

relationship with one of the husbands.

An exploration of friendship under fire

and a tale of what happens

when life’s parallel tracks collide.
