Alistair Halden
A Body in Winter by Alistair Halden (talking book)
Alistair Halden is better known as a poet, having been winner of the Greenwich Festival, the Scottish Open Poetry Competition (Hugh MacDiarmid Trophy), a Hawthornden Scholarship, and other awards. But he has also written a series of light hearted crime novels, of which this is one.
This particular novel starts from suspicious dealings at a sawmill in the Central Highlands of Scotland. But things spread out from there, until the two young sleuths, Peter and Sandra, realise they are dealing with international criminals. After the discovery of a body on Christmas Day, the tale moves step by step to a dramatic climax.
Read by the fine Scottish actor, James Bryce, this talking book, which runs for 6 hours and 10 minutes, is in MP3 format and can therefore be played on most DVD players, computers, or more modern CD players.
Available for £8 including postage and packing from
